The current Juventus manager led the bianconeri to win the Serie A and Coppa Italia last year, missing out on the treble after losing the UEFA Champions League final.

Chelsea's search for a new boss has been concluded, as reports reveal that Juventus' coach Massimiliano Allegri will join the Premier League side next summer, as per Calciomercato.

The source reports that the 48-year old coach agreed to sign a new deal with the Blues to lead them back to the title chase, earning £5.3 million a year.

Allegri is currently coaching his second season with Juventus, following a successful first year at the helm. The manager won the Serie A title and the Coppa Italia last year while leading the bianconeri to the UEFA Champions League final. Nevertheless, La Vecchia Signora lost the game against Barcelona.

Calciomercato reports that Allegri's desire to coach in the Premier League has played a key role during negotiations. The Blues wanted to sign coach Pep Guardiola to take over the team's managerial duties, but the Spanish boss chose to sign with Manchester City in a deal that was announced last Monday.

Allegri's credentials are quite impressive

If this deal is confirmed, Allegri will become the fifth Italian boss in Chelsea's history, following the stints of Gianluca Vialli, Claudio Ranieri, Carlo Ancelotti and Roberto Di Matteo.
