Barcelona’s star forward Luis Suarez believes his teammate Neymar Jr. will not leave Camp Nou in the summer, despite the numerous problems facing him at the Spanish club.

The 28-year-old was speaking after Barcelona’s 7-0 thumping of Valencia in their Copa del Rey first-leg semi-final win on Wednesday, as reported by Goal.com.

He said:

"I am convinced that Neymar will remain at Barcelona.’’

"The club supports him, and I am sure that he will play here for many years."

The Brazilian star has been linked with a move out of the Camp Nou to join European giants such as Manchester United, Real Madrid or Paris St-Germain. The 23-year-old is currently facing quite a difficult time in Spain, due to ongoing investigations regarding the alleged fraud and corruption involved in his move to the Spanish giants in 2013.

Meanwhile, the Daily Mail reports that the Blaugrana want to sign Juan Mata from Manchester United in the summer, but the Spaniard has to improve his form. The online publication also claims that the Catalan giants have been in contact with Mata’s representatives in the past few months over a possible summer transfer. The 27-year-old joined Manchester United from Chelsea in January 2014 for £37 million, and has a contract with the Red Devils that expires in June 2018.
