Five-time Ballon d’Or winner has starred alongside Gary Lineker in a new Walkers advert. The Barcelona legend appears to be fighting over a packet of cheese and onion with the Match of the Day presenter. Walkers, a renowned crisp giant, has created advertisements in the past featuring celebrities such as Lionel Richie and the Spice Girls, and Messi is their latest addition.
The advert starts with the 28-year-old playing table football with his friends, then notices the former England striker munching crisps. In a brilliant display of creativity, the Argentine volleys the tiny football off the table, and then it bounces off across the room, hits a large trophy, which eventually lands on the presenter’s head.
With Lineker’s head covered by the trophy, Messi then moves in swiftly to grab the crisps from the 55-year-old’s hands and shares them with his friends in front of a huge screen showing Champions League football.
