The Saints have won three of their last four meetings against Arsenal. Can Wenger's crew get back on track after losing against Chelsea? Check out our preview below.

Arsenal and Southampton continue their particular quests for the ongoing Premier League season when they face each other at Emirates Stadium. Last week, Arsene Wenger's crew was unable to defend their ground against a struggling Chelsea side, while Southampton earned a last-minute win facing Manchester United and extending their winning streak to three games.

With Arsenal still thinking about the Premier League title, and with Southampton just four points away from European football spots, the meeting between these two sides will surely guarantee all fans to have a good time while watching them perform.

Arsenal

Dropping more points at home is not an option for Arsenal, even though they struggled throughout January to win games. Chilean forward Alexis Sánchez could return to the team's lineup for the first time in nine weeks, having dealt with a muscular injury. Jack Wilshere, Tomas Rosicky and Santi Cazorla will have to sit this one out, while the Gunners expect Mesut Özil's contribution up front. The German midfielder enjoyed a particularly great first half of the season with 16 assists to his name, but he went all through January's games without a single pass ending into the back of the net.

Özil seems to be pumped up for Tuesday's matchup

Southampton

Ronald Koeman's crew has bounced back in the Premier League standings after a three-game winning streak. The Saints seem to have found the drive that made them one of the most entertaining teams from last season, and they will surely want to prove it when they meet the Gunners.

Despite a number of absences due to injury, things seem to be looking up for Southampton, as new boy Charlie Austin seems to be ready to start his first game for the club after scoring a late winner against Manchester United last week.

Ronald Koeman will try to keep his streak against Arsenal going.

Head to head

Although Arsenal has a commanding historical lead against Southampton, winning 38 of their previous 78 meetings, the Saints have found it easy to defeat Wenger's men in the last few years. Out of the last five games, Koeman's crew has won three, drawn one and lost the other, including a 4-0 performance back in December.
