The Mexican striker scored a brace during Bayer Leverkusen's game against Hannover last Saturday, leading Die Werkself to their first win of the year.

Javier Hernández's deal with Bayer Leverkusen has proven to be one of the best transfers of the year, considering the player's influence in the team's performances while giving him the chance to bounce back from an unsuccessful stint with Real Madrid.

With Bayer Leverkusen's supporters already showing him some love, the Mexican striker has managed to win a third consecutive Player of the Month award, as Bundesliga's Twitter feed revealed earlier today. In that poll, "Chicharito" defeated Robert Lewandowski and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who have scored more goals than Hernández during the ongoing season.

Chicharito has proven to be quite an asset for the German club, scoring 21 goals in all competitions for Die Werkself. Last Saturday, Hernández scored his third brace of the season against Hannover, setting a personal record for most goals in a single season. He established his previous record during his maiden season with Manchester United, but after a few years in the dark, it seems like Chicharito's future in the Bundesliga will be brighter than ever.
