The Uruguayan striker has fallen down the pecking order with coach Laurent Blanc, who is not satisfied with his behavior on and off the pitch.

Edinson Cavani's touchline rants could have an immediate effect in his future, as coach Laurent Blanc discussed the player's status with Les Parisiens.

Blanc revealed that, even though he considers Cavani to be a "good lad", the Uruguayan must re-think his relationship with his team-mates to improve his chances to excel.

"Edi is a generous lad, and when it comes to team playing, he's one of the best. But when you're talking about life away from the pitch, he is not doing what he has to do. Football is a team sport and you can't do as you please all the time," Blanc revealed.

Cavani is not satisfied with the role Blanc gave him, using him on the flanks to give Zlatan Ibrahimovic the chance to shine.

Blanc revealed Cavani had "an attitude problem" during one of the last games of 2015. In fact, the Uruguayan striker has not started a single match since PSG defeated Lyon back in December 13th, substituting Javier Pastore in a game against Toulouse due to injury and taking Angel Di Maria's place for 20 minutes in the team's latest match against Angers.

"He needs to think in what's best for the team. God knows I care for him, and I've backed him up whenever anyone doubts his skills, but he has to improve his relationship with the group so we can reach all of our goals," the former center back added.

Cavani has been linked with a move away from the French capital for a number of months, with Arsenal and Manchester United as his potential destinations. Sources indicate that some of the squad's captains held a meeting with Blanc, in order to determine if the Uruguayan can still contribute to the team's objectives this season.
