The mood at Santiago Bernabeu has increased momentously following Zinedine Zidane's arrival to the capital club and Real Madrid will now be hoping to catch up with rivals Atletico Madrid who are currently top of the table.

Madrid's first choice goalkeeper Keylor Navas has admitted that things had not been going well under Rafa Benitez but that the mood in the dressing room has improved following the Frenchman's arrival. Madrid have won both their matches they have played under Zidane having scored 10 goals in the process.

Navas has been one of Real Madrid's most consistent players this season and has claimed that the team needed a change after a disappointing spell under Benitez.

"We are all aware that a breather was needed," Navas said. "We are at Real Madrid, a team which has to win trophies. We were not doing things well, and that was reflected in the games.

"Now we are doing things better. Now we feel that we all win together, or all lose together. We have to fight until the end and we will get there with a chance to win trophies."

"You have to respect every coach and when there is a change you have to give everything you are asked for," he added.

"Zidane is a respectful person, he knows what he wants and we are there to obey and to the best we can. He has his sense of humour, but when he needs to be serious he is serious."

Real Madrid will be without Welsh star Gareth Bale who has scored 13 goals in 17 appearances this season. Sergio Ramos on the other hand has is poised to return after recovering from a muscle discomfort.

Real Betis on the other hand are winless in their last ten matches in all competitions and have suffered defeat in four of their last five games. To make things worse for the Andalusian side, their record against Real Madrid has been very poor having suffered defeats in eight of their last nine league games against their counterparts on Sunday.
