The two sides played part in an entertaining 2-2 draw at White Hart Lane and will now meet in the decider to be played at Leicester's home. Eriksen opened up the scoring for Spurs in that much but the Foxes capitalised on their chances to take a 2-1 lead courtesy of goals from Marcin Wasilewski and Okazaki.

Nathan Dyer was however caught handling the ball in the penalty late in the game with Harry Kane converting the resulting penalty to ensure that Tottenham keep their hopes in the competition alive.

Leicester have been going through a dry spell as of late and even though the Foxes are undefeated in their last five matches in all competitions, they have managed just a single victory during the process. They were against Aston Villa last time out in a match Leicester had a glorious opportunity to go top of the table, however Riyad Mahrez's missed penalty ensured that the match finished in a stalemate. As a result the Algerian has been relieved of his duties as the club's first choice penalty kick taker, after missing from the spot in his last two attempts.

Claudio Ranieri has expressed his disappointment after dropping points last time out, but the Italian has urged his players to show a response.

"We are disappointed and now I want us to show our strength in the next match," Ranieri said."I'm not so pleased because we wanted three points. All my players wanted three points. It's OK, the league carries on and we must concentrate now for the next match in the cup."

The two sides met just three days after their 2-2 draw in the FA Cup and it was Leicester who triumphed then picking up a 1-0 win over their counterparts. Spurs responded strongly to the defeat, picking a 4-1 win over Sunderland in their subsequent outing.

Dele Alli who has impressed for Tottenham this season hailed his team's character and is looking for an important win on Wednesday.

"It was a good all-around performance and thankfully we picked ourselves up after the defeat against Leicester," he told Tottenham's official website. "We did the same when we lost against Newcastle, it was important we bounced back and went on a run and we'll look to do the same again, keep winning and go on another good run."
