Barely a month into active football with Barcelona, Aleix Vidal has revealed what he thinks about Real Madrid manager.

Barcelona winger Aleix Vidal has revealed he hopes Real Madrid manager fails to win any trophy with the Spanish giants. The 43-year-old Frenchman replaced Rafa Benitez at the Santiago Bernabeu last week.

The Spanish tactician had only spent seven months with Los Blancos, but failed to impress their fans, especially after losing crucial matches against their rivals FC Barcelona and Sevilla.

Zidane was a former Real Madrid player who won the Champions League and La Liga with the Spanish club and is hoping to replicate the same success as a manager. Despite Vidal’s wishes, Zidane’s Real Madrid look unstoppable, judging from their 5-0 drubbing of Deportivo last weekend during his debut as manager of the La Liga side.

Although Vidal admitted that he admired the new Real Madrid manager as a player, he confessed that he did not wish him all the best in his new job.

Speaking to Spanish radio station RAC (as reported by Sky Sports), the 26-year-old revealed:

"They seem to have had a good start, but the titles get handed out at the end of the season,"

"I hope he does not win any. I've always been a big fan of Zidane, but now I cannot wish him any luck."

Vidal was signed by Barcelona last summer but was ineligible to play due to the transfer ban imposed to the Blaugrana. He finally made his debut this month when the transfer ban ended. The former Sevilla man has since showed some flashes of brilliance for the La Liga defending champions and his hoping to perform even better.

He concluded:

"Virtually all the players here are the best in the world.’’

"You can learn a lot from them."
