The Ligue 1 giants now turn their attention to one of the Blaugrana’s feared MSN trio.

The transfer ban handed to La Liga giants Real Madrid and Atletico looks to ignite a ripple effect in the transfer window.

Several players of the Madrid duo targeted by fellow European giants now appear to be going nowhere, with Los Blancos and Rojiblancos unable to sign anyone until the summer of 2017, though they have been permitted by FIFA to recruit new names in the current January window.

One of these players who appeared destined for an exit but now set for a stay is three-time Ballon d’Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo, who has been linked with a host of clubs despite claims that he will retire at Santiago Bernabeu.

Of all the rumored clubs chasing after the Portuguese ace, PSG were believed to be favorites to sign the 30-year-old. However, now with hopes of signing Ronnie dashed by the transfer ban, the Ligue 1 giants will turn their attention to another Liga BBVA superstar.

According to French publication L’Equipe, Les Parsiens have scrapped their plan of signing Cristiano and will now target Barcelona attacker Neymar, whose current deal with the Blaugrana expires in roughly two years time.

The 23-year-old Selecao ace enjoyed a wonderful 2014-15, five trophy-winning season, and carried his form into this campaign, as he leads the Spanish Primera Division goalscoring charts.

His top form has garnered interest from some of Europe’s elites, whilst also winning him a 2015 Ballon d’Or top-three shortlist nod, with Man United going after the former Santos man, but it remains to be seen whether Barca will even entertain offers.

Neymar, a member of the Catalan giants’ feared MSN attacking trio, has become one of the Camp Nou side’s most influential players, but legal issues in Spain could see the Brazil captain force a move away from La Liga.

The attacker was recently ordered to testify in front of court over the investigations relating to his Barca transfer, whilst tax evasion allegations continue to pursue him and team-mate Lionel Messi.
