Arsenal midfield sensation Mesut Ozil has been named Germany Player of the Year 2015, reports DFB. In the Fan Club poll for Germany’s best performing players of the Year 2015, the former Real Madrid man gathered 45.9% of the total votes. More than 51,000 fans voted for the Gunners midfield maestro, who finished above Thomas Muller of Bayern Munich. The Bavarian gathered 15.9% of the total votes cast. Third-placed Jonas Hector of FC Koln received 13.6 percent of the votes cast. A total of 13 players were nominated for the award.
Ozil is also having a wonderful season at his North London club this season, having been named Arsenal Player of the Month for the third consecutive time. His sleek moves and on-point passes have made him a fan favorite in the Premier League this campaign. .jpg)

''The 2013 was a very turbulent time for me with my move from Madrid to London.''
"The [award] makes me proud and happy, because above all, it was carried out by the fans.''
He concluded:
"The award for me, is an obligation to have a successful 2014 World Cup. I still play every international game as though it is my first."
