Aubameyang has revealed that he is not interested in a move to the Premier League.

Borussia Dortmund star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has ruled out a move to the Premier League, reports the Daily Mirror. The Gabon international was speaking after receiving the African Player of the Year award on Thursday.

Aubameyang has been in sensational form for the German giants this season, and currently, he is the Bundesliga top scorer. Speaking to the press about reports linking him with a big-money move to Premier League title-contenders Arsenal, he said:

"I am staying at Dortmund."

"I am so happy. I am not someone who usually cries but it is quite an emotional moment.''

"When you are standing alongside players like Yaya Toure or Andre Ayew there is pride in winning such a trophy ahead of them because they are great players and I obviously admire them a lot."

Watch the Dortmund star receive the African Player of the Year award:

Aubameyang is the first Gabonese player to win the award. He has also been a top transfer target for Manchester United and Liverpool, with reports suggesting that the latter could use Jurgen Klopp’s influence to lure him to Anfield.

He added:

"I will really have to work a lot. Obviously, I think I have the skills and the talent to make it again next year but it will require lots of work and many sacrifices as well."

The 26-year-old has scored 18 goals in 17 Bundesliga matches this season. He earned a total of 143 points in the polls which were conducted by African coaches to finally beat his closest rival Yaya Toure by seven more points. Swansea City’s striker Andre Ayew came third with 112 points.
