David Villa, who won two league titles and the UEFA Champions League with Los Blaugranas in 2011, believes the three strikers could reach a legendary status together.

It's not hard to praise Barcelona's attacking unit of Lionel Messi, Luis Suárez and Neymar. But when that praise comes from a man that used to play with Los Blaugranas, that thought should be considered serious.

During an interview with a Catalan newspaper, former Barcelona striker David Villa hailed Messi, his former team-mate, and also had kind words for Neymar and Suárez, who arrived to the team after he left Los Culés.

"Without doubt, it's the best. I say it having been part of one of the best forward lines the club has had. The numbers speak for themselves, you only have to analyse them, they are beasts, individually and as a unit," Villa stated.

Last Sunday, Suarez scored a brace and Messi added one more goal to give Barcelona the third Club World Cup title in the team's history. This was the fifth trophy the MSN lifted in 2015.

Villa also had words of support for Luis Enrique, who ended up silencing his critics after a not so brilliant start with the team.

When Luis Enrique arrived the team started in up and down fashion, critics coming from all angles, and they ended up champions of everything. But such pressure is normal in a team like Barcelona. When you have the best players in the world, being the runner up is not an option," the striker added.

The former Atletico striker, currently playing for New York City FC of the MLS, will be spending the holidays in Spain with his family.
