The former Chelsea boss was fired earlier this week after a string of poor results.

The latest reports from England reveal that former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has turned down a huge offer to manage Italian giants AS Roma, with reports linking him with a possible move to Manchester United.

The English giants seem to be struggling under manager Luis Van Gaal, most recently during the 1-2 loss to Norwich City at Old Traffor when United fans took to various social media platforms to call for Van Gaal’s sacking. Consequently, Mourinho has been tipped to take over at Old Trafford if Man United terminate their contract with the Dutch tactician.

Roma are currently on the fifth position in the Serie A, same as Man United in the Premier League. Reports suggest that the Serie A club  is planning to sack manager Rudi Garcia after a string of poor results and initially, Mourinho had been identified as their main target.

The Portuguese tactician was sacked seven months after winning the Premier League with the Blues. After a string of poor results, the defending champions found themselves just a point above the relegation zone. La Maggica, on the other side, have not registered a win in their last seven matches in all competitions. Their most disappointing loss was against Serie B side Spezia Calcio, who bundled them out of the Coppa Italia on post-match penalties.
