Both teams are among the best five in the league after 12 weeks. Benfica has won its last four league games without conceding a goal.

Things are just heating up in the Primeira Liga and two teams that are ranked among the top five in the competition will face-off in the Estadio do Bonfim. Benfica is one game behind most of the competition but they are in third place with 24 points and Setubal is in sixth with 18 points.

Benfica's Preview

One of the hottest teams in the league is definitely Benfica. Despite their recent loss to Atletico Madrid in the Champions League, they have been a force to be admired in the domestic league. The team has won its last four consecutive games and not even conceded a goal in the process while scoring eleven.

That record includes winning  two games away from home, now on their vist to Setubal's field, they hope to keep building on their mark and close the gap between them and Porto, which is currently six points ahead in second place.

This time, they must do it without one of their key players, Nicolas Gaitan. The Argentinian player was linked with a move to Manchester United but he just signed a new contract with his current team until 2019 with a contract worth 45 million euros, one of the biggest in the history of the Portuguese club.

They are usually not too strong when it comes to visiting other teams, ranking eighth in that sector. Two of their three losses this seasons have actually happened on the road and only one at home. They only average 1.5 points per game played on the road.

Jonas is the leading scorer of this team with ten goals. That same number, has him as the league-leader in the goal-scoring chart. Three of his goals have come from penalty kicks. The team has a total of 27 goals in favor and only 7 against, averaging less than one per game.

Setubal's Preview

This team has won three of their last six games but there is a clear lack of consistency. One day they could be fearless offensively and suffer deffensively from one match to the other. Despite their struggles, they are ranked fifth in the Primeira Liga and within striking distance from the team that is in fourth place.

A win, along with a combination of results could get them there. It won't be easy for them as Benfica is on a roll and Setubal is one of the worst teams in the league playing at home. They rank 11th in that department having added only eight points in six games. Ten of their points have come in games played on the road.

While Benfica has Jonas as their best striker so far in the season, Hyun-Jun Suk is the leader in Setubal's roster with seven goals so far and all of them coming from open play. The team has 21 goals in their favor and 16 against them. Their goal differential is what has them ahead of Rio Ave in the overall standings.

It is really important for Setubal to find a rythm in this competition. Right now, they are ranked high enough that if the league ended right now, they would be qualified to play in the Europa League. This season, all of their efforts are based in domestic competitions and nothing else.
