The Citizens come into this match at the back of a 4-2 win over Borussia M'Gladbach and will be looking to make amends after a defeat at the hands of Stoke in their last league outing.
Man City have had a few problems upfront with Sergio Aguero still sidelined with an injury. The Argentinean will miss a fourth consecutive match on Saturday due to an ankle injury and the Citizens have suffered in his absence.
Wilfried Bony on the other hand has failed to live up to the billing and City are yet to see the best of him.
The Ivorian has scored just six goals in 20 appearance in all competitions this season and Pellegrini will be looking forward to better performances from the former Swansea man.
Despite all the struggles, Manuel Pellegrini has maintained that his side will not be looking for a striker in the winter transfer window.
"For the moment, nothing changes because we have a squad that we think it is the best squad in this moment for the team," he said.
"I don't think we need to make changes, so we continue the same way with Wilfried, with Kun [Aguero], with Sterling and with Kelechi."
They will be against a manager less Swansea side who relieved Garry Monk off his post after managing just a single victory in his last eleven league outings. The Jacks will have quite a task at their hands having conceded 10 goals in their last four visits to the Etihad.
