Manchester United forward Wayne Rooney has been linked with a possible big-money move to the Chinese league.

Chinese giants Shanghai SIPG could give the Red Devils up to £75 million for the out-of-form striker, reports the Daily Mail. The decorated player has been a major target for the Chinese giants and they will be banking on the fact that he seems to be struggling at Old Trafford this season, having scored only two Premier League goals in 12 appearances.

Reports suggest that the England international could be used as the poster boy for the Chinese Super League in a bid to attract more star players to the East Asian country. To makes things even better for the 30-year-old, the Chinese club is managed by former England chief Sven Goran Eriksson, who is willing to offer him a deal worth approximately £460,000 a week if he agrees to move to China.
