The Red Devils secured yet another goalless draw in the Premier League and as expected, their fans directed all their anger to manager Luis Van Gaal.

The Premier League giants have been facing a goal-scoring crisis and things did not get better for them when they hosted The Hammers at Old Trafford. The home side wasted numerous chances in front of goal to the disappointment of many of their fans, who turned their frustration to the Dutch tactician.

The away side also lost numerous chances, particularly in the first half. Apart from hitting the post twice, Mauro Zarate and Victor Moses also wasted many one-on-one chances against the outstanding De Gea.

Despite being hit by a series of injuries, The Hammers provided a tough opposition for their hosts and managed to drop them down to the fourth position on the log. Man United’s midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin limped off the pitch in the first half, adding yet another injury concern to Luis Van Gaal ahead of their crucial midweek trip to Wolfsburg in the Champions League on Tuesday.

In the second half, the hosts pinned their visitors to their own half but that was not enough to penetrate their solid defence. As the referee blew the final whistle, a section of Man United fans booed the visibly-disappointed manager has he walked down the tunnel.

Speaking after the match, the former Ajax manager explained:

''We have to finish better.''

''That’s been our problem recently.’'

''When I meet the fans on the streets they are very happy with Manchester United and me but you have to score.’'
