The Citizens hold the top spot in the Premier League ahead of a tricky tie against Stoke City. The league leaders have not tasted much joy on their trips to Britannia since the Potters earned promotion to the top flight. In the seven Premier League games between the two sides, Man City have recorded a victory just once.
The win however came during Man City's last away fixture against Stoke, a match they won by a 4-1 score line.
Stoke City striker Jonathan Walters is however hoping to make life difficult for their opponents on Saturday and is confident that his side can produce the goods in front of the home fans.
"I think we always fancy our chances against anyone and we've proved over the years that there is no fear at the Britannia," the Republic of Ireland international said.
"These kinds of games really get the stadium rocking, they generate a great atmosphere. It's one to look forward to.
"It will be a difficult game but on the back of the [League Cup] quarter-final we're full of confidence and can't wait for the weekend."
Saturday's meeting between the two sides could be a dress rehearsal for the Capital One Cup final after both the sides made it to the semi-final of the competition. Stoke recorded a 2-0 win over Sheffield Wednesday bouncing back from a disappointing defeat at the hands of Sunderland.
Captain Ryan Shawcross was given his marching orders during the defeat at the hands of Sunderland but will return to the side having served suspension in the League Cup encounter. Striker Peter Crouch is however a doubt after injuring his hamstring but Mame Biram Diouf will return to the squad after missing the midweek match due to the birth of his child.
Man City on the other hand have responded well to defeats at the hands of Liverpool and Juventus by winning both of their last two matches. They however will continue to be without defenders Vincent Kompany, Pablo Zabaleta as well as Eliaquim Mangala. Whereas the likes of Sergio Aguero, Fernando and Jesus Navas are unlikely to feature. Joe Hart on the other hand is likely to return to the side.
