Former Man City and Liverpool forward Mario Balotelli wants to join Spanish La Liga giants Real Madrid.

According to his teammate, the controversial Italian forward harbours strong dreams of playing for Los Blancos despite generating the interest of current Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp. The Express claims that his teammate at AC Milan, Diego Lopez, told GazzettaWorld that the 25-year-old wants to play for Madrid.

 During the interview, Lopez revealed:

''Mario isn’t like people paint him out to be.’’

“He is a nice guy and a good player and you know what? His dream is to play for Real Madrid.’’

The famous bad boy of football signed for Liverpool from Milan for £16 million but after failing to impress at the Merseyside club, he was sent back to Italy on a season-long loan deal. This season, he has only played four games for Milan and scored one goal. The former Man City man is currently suffering from a hip injury and if he doesn’t improve his performance in Italy when he regains full fitness, the chances of signing for Madrid will be quite low.

Balotelli has not played a match for the Serie A giants since September 27.
