Leicester finished last season in 14th place. The Red Devils trail Leicester City by one point in the EPL standings.

When everyone looked at the schedule at the beginning of the season and saw that Manchester United would be visiting Leicester City, the last thought may have been that it would be a game between the two best teams in the Premier League. Well, 14 weeks into the season it is a game between first and second in the EPL.

Leicester City finished the previous season in 14 place, fighting more to stay out of the relegation zone than to fight for the lead of the tournament. Now with top teams fighting to stay consistant, they are the ones that are leading the way with 28 points after 13 games.

The Foxes also have the best offense in the leage with 28 goals so far. 13 of those goals have come from the same player called Jamie Vardy. He is the current goal-scoring leader of this team that is making everyone wonder how long can they endure at the top of the table.

"He was already a very nasty player for us last year," Van Gaal said about Vardy. "He scores, he provoked a penalty, now scoring 10 goals in a row, he is a great player. I only know Dennis Bergkamp as a player who did the same with Ajax. It's not so easy to do that."

While Leicester's defense is one of the worst (GA 20), Manchester United's is the best (GA 9)

For Louis van Gaal, it is no surprise that the team they are visiting is leading the competition. The Dutch Iron considers that Leicester may have what it takes to win the league after the entire season is over. In his own words, Claudio Ranieri's team should be taken a serious contender for the title.

"It is possible, I think," Manchester's manager said "Normally these kind of clubs can compete for long time, then at the end it becomes more difficult."

Van Gaal has been able to notice how close the competition is between teams in the EPL. There is no room for error and every team has the potential to lead and/or win the tournament. It is something that according to him, does not happen many other leagues.
