The Chelsea legendary player says he would love to return to the West London club as a coach, some day.

The Ivory Coast international scored 164 goals for Chelsea in 341 appearances and to date, he is widely seen as the club’s most reknowned player after Franco Zola. Speaking to BBC Africa about his possible return to London, precisely the Stamford Bridge, the 37-year-old revealed:

“I want to give back to the club which has given so much to me. I have agreed that with the club directors,”

Asked about the exact position he would want to occupy on his return the defending champions, he added:

“Why not manager? Why not sporting director, trainer at the academy or maybe an advising role for strikers?”

Drogba, who is Chelsea's fourth all-time top scorer after Frank Lampard, Bobby Tambling and Kerry Dixon, also expressed his support for the current manager Jose Mourinho after a disappointing season so far:

“If the club has kept him that means owner Roman Abramovich thinks that he is the right man,” he said. “I think the players trust him and he is giving his best to change the situation.”

“They have quality when it comes to the players, and quality when it comes to the management,” said Drogba.

“This is a club which usually doesn’t have a bad season twice.”
