Real Madrid beat Shakhtar Donetsk 4-3 last night to cement their lead at the top of Group A in the Champions League.

Despite his sterling performance for the hosts, Portuguese winger Cristiano Ronaldo had an embarrassing moment that will live for long in the minds of many fans who watched the game against Shakhtar Donetsk. 

The superstar provided a man-of-the-match performance when he scored a brace and provided two assists to lead his side to a narrow win over their midweek opponents. However, the 30-year-old tried to dribble past Shakhtar’s defender but unfortunately, he embarrassingly landed on his back. 

Ronaldo picked up the ball along the flanks, raced towards Marcio Azevedo, tried to dribble past him, but ended up tripping over. However, despite the embarrassment, he was visibly the best player on the pitch yesterday night.
