The Premier League side want to boost their attack as they continue to harbour high hopes of securing their first league title in almost a decade.

Following the numerous injury concerns at the North London club, Arsenal are rumoured to be interested in signing FIFA U-17 World Cup top scorer Victor Osimhen. The Nigeria international has been a long-term target for rivals Tottenham Hotspur but the Gunners seem to be ready to hijack the deal and bring the talented forward to the Emirates Stadium.

Osimhen scored a total of 10 goals for his country in the tournament and steered them to lift the coveted trophy by beating Mali 2-0 in the finals. There are rumours that the Nigerian Football Federation had been contacted earlier this week about a possible move for the talented youngster.

Osimhem had been tipped to win the Golden Boot in the global tournament even before it started. Before travelling to Chile with Nigeria to represent his country, the striker had already scored 39 goals in 71 appearances for the West African nation. He also emerged the top scorer at the U-17 African Championship in March with four goals.
