The Spanish player appeared in 42 El Clasisco's with Barcelona. He claimed that every player in Luis Enrique's team deserved a 10/10.

One of the three players with the most appearances in El Clasico (42) and Barcelona's former captain for a very long time, praised the performance of his old club against Real Madrid in El Clasico. Even though a 0-4 scoreboard seemd impressive enough, Xavi Hernandez feels there could have been more.

The current midfielder for Al Saad in Iraq could not get enough of Barcelona's performance at the Santiago Bernabeu. The 35-year old player said that everyone of his former teammates had a 10/10 showing in the Spanish capital, from Claudio Bravo all the way up to Lionel Messi.

"I enjoyed it because Barcelona were vastly superior in every aspect of the game: in attack, in defence, in focus, in putting the opposition under pressure," Xavi said in his reactions to El Clasico.

Xavi used to be a familiar face in El Clasico

Out of the four goals scored by his former team, it was Iniesta's the one that he liked the most. While the work done by Luis Suárez up front was superb, it could not match what was done by the Spanish international.

"They were all great goals, but the build up to Andrés's was amazing. Aside from that, Busquets, Andrés and Neymar were unplayable," Xavi added.

For him, the 0-4 fell short to what could really have happened on Saturday night at the Santiago Bernabeu. For now, he is glad that Barcelona won and with it, they are six points clear of Real Madrid after 12 games this season. At this point last year, they were trailing Madrid by almost ten.

"Madrid also had two or three, but Barcelona had at least 20 clear cut chances and it could have been a much more convincing win", Xavi claimed. "I really enjoyed it from the hotel and I congratulate them on the win".
