Could another star be joining the Gunners long injury list?

With the current injury crisis already raising questions over Arsenal’s title credentials, the north London giants could probably do without any fitness worries to their remaining players.

Theo Walcott, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Hector Bellerin, Aaron Ramsey, Jack Wilshere, Danny Welbeck, Tomas Rosicky, and David Ospina are all out, leaving Arsene Wenger with a selection headache.

Thus, the club could be forgiven for worrying, as news out of Sanchez’s national side is that there are worries over the player's health.

According to Uruguayan outlet Ovacion, the former Barcelona man, currently with Chile preparing for their clash with Cavani and Co. on November 18, is suffering of fatigue and is short on match fitness.

The 26-year-old reportedly had “low energy” during the 1-1 draw with Colombia. Furthermore, Alexis did not take part in La Roja’s main practice on Sunday, instead opting to work with his own trainer on the sides.

Fabian Orellana of Celta Vigo is being lined up as a replacement for the Gunners ace should he be unable to start in the clash with Oscar Tabarez’s crew.

Whether this fatigue could rule out Sanchez from Arsenal’s trip to West Brom once play resumes in the English Premier League remains unknown, but this is not the first time this season that the Chilean midfielder’s fitness was risked whilst on international duty.

In early October, Sanchez was called up to the national side after picking up a groin injury during the north London side’s 3-0 win over Manchester United.

Despite his injury, coach Jorge Sampaoli played the Arsenal star for a full 90 minutes, admitting that he put the player in danger knowing he was not 100% fit.
