The Brazilian-born striker has struggled all season long with the Blues, and would be pushing to return to his former club, Atletico Madrid

Once again, Diego Costa's future seems to be away from West London. The Spanish striker, who has struggled to recover last season's form, seems to be "desperate" to return to his home country, as some sources have claimed in the past few weeks.

The former Atletico Madrid striker wants to make a comeback with Los Colchoneros as soon as possible, and Spanish radio stations have revealed the player has his agents working around the clock to make the deal happen.

Costa's first season with The Blues was a raging success. He became the team's top scorer, and was key to the Premier League title along with Cesc Fabregas and Eden Hazard. But this season, his performance strongly resembles that of the team, scoring only two goals in nine games played. Costa, along with Hazard, are two of the players held responsible for the team's sloppy display.

Costa's return to Atletico Madrid would surely give him a confidence boost, since coach Diego Simeone was key to his development as a true all-around striker. He played two straight seasons for Los Colchoneros, scoring 47 goals for the Madrid-based team, leading them to the 2013-2014 title.

With the transfer window just around the corner, it will be just a matter of days before the Brazilian-born striker has his future sorted out.
