CONMEBOL's officers determined to postpone the match due to complicated weather conditions.

Argentina and Brazil will have to wait to play against each other, after the game's officers determined the pitch of Estadio Monumental was not fit to host the game between the South American giants due to heavy rain. Weather conditions in the city of Buenos Aires were not expected to change during the next few hours, so the game's officers and CONMEBOL execs determined to play the game tomorrow.

Brazilian officers wanted to play the game earlier, using their already booked plane tickets back to their country, but Argentinean were against that idea. Given the tight schedule CONMEBOL teams have until 2017, South American authorities granted Argentina's wish, and the game will start at the same time it was scheduled today.

Here's how the pitch looked prior to the game's original kick-off time.

"Here we are at River's stadium for the match between Argentina & Brazil. There are a few puddles two hours before the game's kick-off"

As the game's start came closer, weather conditions made it more complicated for the game to be played.

Heavy rain at its fullest prevented the game to be played.

Here's how the pitch looked once the decision to postpone the game was taken.
