The Leicester City striker has scored in all four games, whilst Arsene guided the Gunners to four wins in October.

Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy collected October’s Player of the Month award, whilst Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger was named the best manager for the previous month.

Vary, who has won rave reviews and helped his side rise to third in the standings due to his stellar performance in front of goal since the beginning of the season, netted five goals in four games for the Foxes.

The 28-year-old forward collects the award for the very first time in his career having scored in nine consecutive games for Claudio Ranieri’s crew.

The  Englishman now needs goal in Leicester City’s next two games after the international break, a trip to Newcastle and a home clash with 20-time champions Manchester United, to surpass the record held by former Red Devils talisman Ruud Van Nistelrooy, who scored in 10 consecutive top-flight games between March and August back in 2003.

Vardy leads the goalscoring charts with 12 strikes, five more than Odion Ighalo, Riyad Mahrez, and Romelu Lukaku, all tied at second with 7 goals each.

He beat the likes of Watford’s goalscoring machine Ighalo, and Arsenal’s Mesut Ozil, who leads the assists chart.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger lifted the Manager of the Month, having led the north London side to victory in all four games in that month.

However, the French tactician faces a tough task ahead both on the domestic and European front, with the club suffering of an injury crisis.

Fortunately, Arsenal can expect a number of key players to return after the international break, with the likes of Bellerin, Ramsey and Chamberlain all tipped to be ready in time for the trip to West Brom.
