The Englishman became the first player from his country to score thirty Champions League goals in the history of the tournament.

He was lost, but now he's been found.

After being trolled this past weekend for his baffling performances all season long, Wayne Rooney stepped up and gave Manchester United a much deserved win over CSKA Moscow, keeping Group B's first place and making his haters stop their trolling for a while.

Rooney ended a 404-minute goal scoring drought with United in all competitions, also helping the Red Devils to score their first goal in almost four games.

The game' defining moment came after 79 minutes when a long ball by Memphis Depay was sent into CSKA's box by Jesse Lingard. Rooney, all alone, just headed the ball past Igor Akinfeev, kicking off the celebrations at Old Trafford. Rooney also managed to level Denis Law's goal scoring total with United, making him the second most prolific scorer in the team's history.

After a while, United's fans had the chance to celebrate a goal by their captain. Here are some of their best comments.
