Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo has been tipped to join French giants Paris Saint-Germain by his Portuguese counterpart Pauleta.

The former Deportivo, Bordeaux, Salamaco and PSG striker revealed during an interview with Radio Marca that PSG would be the perfect club for Ronaldo if he left Madrid.

"PSG deserves to have a player of Cristiano Ronaldo's quality. It would be a good place for him to play for two or three seasons,’’ said Pauletta.

The French giants boast of impeccable talent from the likes of former Real Madrid man Angel Di Maria, Edinson Cavani and  Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who is the club’s all time top scorer after toppling Pauletta from the top position. This comes a few days after the Real Madrid hitman revealed to German sports magazine Kicker that he could leave the Los Blancos in the near future.

Meanwhile, as Real Madrid prepares to host the Parisians for their Champions League fixture on Tuesday at the Santiago Bernabeau, the 30-year-old winger will be among the players with the most impressive statistics in the Champions League. Ronaldo has played 92% of his club’s Champions League matches, which is equivalent to a total 5,802 minutes. He has only missed six out of the 72 matches that the Spanish giants have played since 2009. He has not missed a Champions League match since April 8, 2014 when he was ruled out of the game against Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund due an injury. The three-time Ballon d’Or winner has only missed two home Champions League matches in seven years.
