Although the Colombian midfielder will not start the game, coach Rafa Benitez stated he will be available to play during Matchday 4 of the UEFA Champions League.

Good news for Real Madrid's supporters ahead of their clash against Paris Saint Germain, as James Rodriguez will be able to play against Les Parisiens on Tuesday. Nevertheless, coach Rafa Benitez stated the player will not start the game, given that they want to be cautious to prevent a relapse.

"James is OK. He lacks match fitness, but he is available and he's on the list. But that doesn't mean he can start and play the entire game tomorrow," Benitez stated.

Rodriguez came close to a comeback back in October, after picking up an injury with Colombia during September's international break. Since then, the former Monaco ace has struggled to be healthy, but his presence in the team's squad is a good sign for the South American performer.

Regarding the upcoming break, Benitez added Real Madrid will allow the player to report with Colombia's NT, but Los Cafeteros have to make sure he goes back in one piece.

"If they call him up, we'll let him go. I just hope he goes there, scores a lot of goals and comes back safe and sound. If he stays healthy during these days, he will also be included in the squad that faces Sevilla," Benitez added.

Real Madrid revealed the news via their Twitter feed.

No BBC against PSG

Despite the good news for Real Madrid regarding James Rodriguez, coach Benitez left Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema out for the CL game against Zlatan & Co. Even though both of them have started running drills with the team during the latest training sessions, Benitez decided to rest them for the European competition, hopefully having them available for this weekend's game facing Sevilla.
