But could this spell the end Cristiano Ronaldo’s time with Los Blancos?

Chelsea are third in their Champions Leauge group after only 3 games, and sit in 12th spot in the English Premier League nine games into the new season, but is Eden Hazard already ready to jump ships.

The Belgian star, according to L’Equipe (per RTL Sport), is ready to call an end to his time at Stamford Bridge and quit Chelsea in favor of joining La Liga giants Real Madrid.

The French publication report on Wednesday that the former Lille midfielder has already decided on leaving the Blues giants at the end of the season, a decision believed to have been all but sealed after Mourinho’s decision to bench the 24-year-old in Saturday’s 2-0 win over Aston Villa, after growing frustrated with life in London.

Hazard, last season’s PFA Player of the Year winner, has been struggling with form this season, with zero goals and only two assists to his name for club in all competitions this campaign.

Les Merengues have long been linked with Hazard, however, the Belgian ace will obviously not come cheap. Any deal for the Chelsea man will depend on whether Cristiano Ronaldo will be leaving Santiago Bernabeu next summer, with PSG reportedly favorites to land the Portuguese attacker.

In addition, Swedish talisman Zlatan Ibrahimovic is rumored to be headed for the Parc de Princes exit.

Whether this will be Cristiano’s last season with Los Blancos remains under question, with the player himself reiterating his desire to retire at Real Madrid, saying:

“My dream is to retire at Real Madrid. If you take care of yourself, you can play until you are 40.

“I want to continue for five or six more years. I plan to continue [with the same] games and goals average.

“I feel good and useful at Madrid, I want to keep winning here.”
