The Chilean striker suffered an injury in his groin during the game against Manchester United. Sanchez has scored six goals in the last three games.

Alexis Sanchez is the star of the Chilean national team and that is probably why Jorge Sampaoli did not want to go against Brazil without him. Despite the threat of a possible long-term injury boiling, Alexis has made the long trip from England to Chile as the World Cup Qualifiers begin in South America.

Sanchez, who was very important in Arsenal's win over Manchester United this past weekend, finished the game with a groin injury. The 26-year old player has Arsenal concerned about what could happen to their player in the games against Brazil and Peru, therefore, they will be keeping a close eye on him.

Not even Rooney can keep up with Alexis right now

Before the games begin, the Chilean medical staff will assess Alexis situation. The Gunners medical staff hope that his injury is not too serious and that their star can return safely for their next match against Watford in the Premier League on October 17.

Arsenal could not stop Alexis from missing the trip

Sanchez struggled to find his form early in the season. He was absent in the first game after playing all summer with Chile in the Copa America. It took him a while to warm up but now he seems to be on fire. In his last three games, Sanchez has scored six goals including a brace against the former Premier League leaders, Manchester United.

Alexis made history against the Red Devils

Chile is enjoying its best moment as a national team. The squad of Jorge Sampaoli is ranked among the best ten nations in the world, something they had never experienced before. Arsenal is currently in second place of the Premier League after eight games. They are only two points behind Manchester City that has 18.
