Both players shared the Real Madrid locker room from 2009 to 2013. Orlando's owner claimed his marketing impact would be greater than Messi's.

It may seem like a crazy idea, but the owner of Orlando City SC is seriously considering reuniting Kaká with his former teammate Cristiano Ronaldo. After they both played for Real Madrid from 2009 to 2013, there is nothing that tells Flavio Augusto da Silva that the idea of bringing the Portuguese striker to the team is crazy.

Da Silva, who was successful in his attempt to sign Kaká earlier this year but failed with Javier Hernandez and Robinho, sees Ronaldo at the top of his wishlist, even on top of Messi. He believes that there are a few things  that make Ronaldo a better target than La Pulga.

"Physically, he's more complete than [Lionel] Messi, and he'd make more of an impact on a marketing level in MLS than the Argentine," da Silva said

The team is currently struggling to secure a spot in the upcoming playoffs. At this moment, Orlando City SC is sitting in seventh place of the Eastern Conference, four behind Montreal Impact that even has two games pending. New York Red Bulls already clinched their spot with 48 points after 29 games.

Ronaldo is not so sure about ending his career with Real Madrid

Bringing Ronaldo to the Major League Soccer team could happen before we know it. In the plans of da Silva, the transfer could happen before the start of next season. Ronaldo's contract with Real Madrid does not expire until 2018.

"Hopefully, we can sign him for this upcoming season. We've always heard that he'd like to come to the United States to play."

Kaká looks forward to add quality players to the team

After six league games with Real Madrid this season, Ronaldo has scored five times. After Wednesday's game against Malmo, Ronaldo now has scored 501 goals as a professional player since he began playing in Portugal. At the same time, he is tied with Raul as Madrid's all-time leading scorer with 323.

"Truthfully, we like Cristiano Ronaldo a lot. We'd sign him without thinking about it," da Silva added in an interview with Spanish media outlet Marca.
