Chelsea was 0-2 behind in the last 12 minutes of the game. The Blues are the second worst defense in the Premier League so far.

It's either the stadium or just that Jose Mourinho is not having a good time with Chelsea this season that leave the team and their fans concerned after a 2-2 draw at St. James Park. The Special One was nowhere close to winning his first game at the house of Newcastle United.

Things started getting ugly for Chelsea right at the beginning of the game. It wasn't util the first half was about to end that Newcastle took the lead thanks to a goal from Ayoze Perez in the 42nd minute of the game. Not even the pressure of Ivanovic and Zouma was able to stop the Newcastle player.

The Special One did not like his team's performance one bit

If Mourinho thought he had things figured out after 45 minutes, he was wrong. Before the equalizer came, the home side extended their lead 2-0 in the 60th minute by Wijnaldum as he heads in a cross from Perez. Newcastle had now scored just as many goals as it had in the whole season before the game (3).

Graphic description of how some people see Chelsea's defense

It seemed that Chelsea was going to allow Newcastle to win its first game of the season. The reaction was nowhere to be seen in the following minutes. That was until two Brazilians got together and decided to take matters into their own hands.

Chelsea's solution was sitting in the bench

First it was Ramires who got the ball 25 yards out from goal and shot it to the top corner of the goal for the start of a comeback. Minutes later, and with less than five minutes to go, Willian took advantage of a free-kick opportunity that slowly went inside the net. Chelsea had done it, but there wasn't much to be proud off.

After seven games, Chelsea is in 15th place. The defending champions of the Premier League have received 14 goals, making them the second-worst defense in the league. Maybe for Mourinho, the worst thing is knowing that he still has not been able to win a game at St. James Park.
