The Chilean ace smashed three past Leicester City, as the Gunners marched to a 5-2 at the King Power Stadium.

Saturday was the day for English Premier League star attackers to end their goal droughts. Harry Kane found the back of the net against Manchester City, whilst Rooney scored past Sunderland.

However, the big news of the day was that of Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez, who after going 873 minutes without a single goal for the Gunners, bagged a hat-trick against Leicester City.

The north London side traveled to the King Power Stadium on Saturday and found themselves trailing after only 13 minutes, before a lovely Theo Walcott goal pulled Arsenal level.

In the 33rd minute, Sanchez tapped the ball into the Leicester City net to give his side the lead and end his long wait for a goal. 13 minutes after the break and the Chilean attacker’s brace was completed. 23 minutes after that and the hat-trick was achieved.

The 26-year-old’s three-goal haul saw him enter the record books as the first player in history to score a hat-trick in three of the four big European leagues in the last 20 years.

His heroics against Claudio Ranieri’s crew also garnished him praise on Twitter. Check out some of the best tweets.
