The Mexican player, alongside goalie Moises Muñoz, feels confident about their chances against Guadalajara this Saturday, where they will try to avoid being surprised by El Rebaño Sagrado.

After winning two titles with Las Águilas, and even after becoming a regular with Mexico’s National Team recently, defender Paul Aguilar still gets excited with games such as the one América will try to win this Saturday. According to Las Aguilas’ right back, these games are the ones that count for the fans, and they will try to provide them with joy by defeating their hated opponent during their time of despair.

“When you are about to play against them, you can’t think of anything else. You have to get excited when this games approach, and this time it won’t be any different. These are the games you have to win in order to become legendary, and we will surely try to take advantage of their current form, since it’s not allowed to lose against this type of opponents. It’s a matter of pride, and we will try to show that when we go out there,” Aguilar stated.

Aguilar was able to score this beauty against Chivas during their last meeting in April of 2015.

Goalkeeper Moises Muñoz also believes it’s time to extend their dominance. The Mexican shot-stopper, who has never lost a game against Chivas while playing for América, asked his team-mates not to pay attention to all the statistics surrounding the game, since their opponent could shock them at Azteca Stadium easily, given the quality of their players.

“If you start comparing statistics, it’s obvious that you will end up saying we should win. But that doesn’t matter once you go out there. I want to see Chivas with the intention of winning, and we will try to do the same. We will try to cancel their strengths and take advantage of their weaknesses, and I hope that we can put on a good show for those who watch the game,” the goalie concluded.
