Portugal's biggest game will have fans around the world on the edge of their seats this Sunday, when Porto hosts Benfica at Estadio Do Dragao. After being defeated last time around by the Aguias (Eagles), Julen Lopetegui's side will try to prove once and for all they are the team to beat this year, aiming to snap the title away from their opponents.

Both teams have performed brilliantly this season, even if Benfica has already lost a game against Arouca. While the home side hasn't experienced a loss, Rui Vitoria's crew will aim to hurt their hosts' pride and take away the first place the Dragons own as of today.

Porto

Os Dragoes have shown some quality football during their games this season. With key additions to the team such as goalkeeper Iker Casillas, the blue-and-white outfit will try to live up to their fans' expectations on Sunday, relying on what Vincent Aboubakar can do to help them. If he is well guarded by Benfica's defense, then Porto could rely on their Mexican duo of Héctor Herrera and Jesús Corona, who recently made his debut with Lopetegui's team, scoring a brace in the process.

Benfica

The current title holders lost their second match of the season, but they have picked up nothing but wins ever since, including a Champions League performance against Astana. Following their lost game facing Arouca, Benfica has outscored their opponents 11-2, including a 6-0 blowout against Belenenses. The attacking trio of Nico Gaitán, Konstantin Mitroglou and Jonás will be the men to look after for Porto, since most of the team's force up front relies on what they can do.

Head to Head

Out of the six last games between these teams in all competitions, Benfica has won three of them, including a Taça de Portugal game which went The Eagles way after a penalty shootout. Two of those games were held at Estadio do Dragao, including last season's showdown that ended with a 2-0 score for Rui Vitoria's side. Considering only those games in which Porto has been the host, the Dragons have won 65 matches, which should give them a confidence boost prior to their matchup on Sunday.
