With 0 goals and only 1 assist to his name, The Special One defends his 24-year-old Belgian ace despite his poor form.

Chelsea superstar Eden Hazard has been underperforming for the London side this season, but according to Jose Mourinho, the Belgian ace is still the best player in England.

Hazard, who was named the PFA Player of the Year last campaign in the Blues’ title-winning season, has yet to notch a single goal in the Premier League, whilst also missing a penalty in their 4-0 win over Maccabi Tel Aviv in the Champions League.

Nonetheless, the very same manager who claimed the former Lille attacker was on the same level as Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, remains adamant that no one in England comes close to the 24-year-old.

Speaking ahead of Saturday’s epic clash with Arsenal, Jose said:

"He's the best player in England. It's not because Rooney doesn't score goals for three weeks that he's not a fantastic player. Eden is the best player playing in this country.

"It's not because a bad performance or a penalty missed, or not scoring goals for three or four weeks. He's the best. He'll be the best again. I don't know if it's tomorrow or next week but one of these days he's man of the match."

Hazard is not the only Chelsea player whom the media spotlight has been on, but club captain John Terry as well, a player who has seen his role in the club come under heavy scrutiny.

The skipper was left on the bench for Wednesday’s Champions League tie, and has been substituted off the pitch in several games this season, something that has never happened before under Mourinho’s reign, but the coach insists that the former Three Lions center-back has his full trust.

"You have to look to the situation like this; last season he played every minute. Two seasons ago he didn't. Three seasons ago even less. So what's the problem? He's a player of my total confidence. I trust him as always. He's one of my men," he added.
