Mexico City's most popular team faces its biggest challenge this season, when they meet against Andre Pierre Gignac's Tigres. Check out the live streaming & TV info for América vs Tigres below.

One of Liga MX's matches will be staged this Saturday, when third-placed América faces Tigres with their all-star cast available. Both sides have established themselves as two of the best teams in Mexico, and their performance this Saturday will be something you will not want to miss.

These teams played against each other to determine the champion of the 2014 Apertura tournament, with the team from Mexico City ended up winning. Later on, Tigres was capable of making it to the final match of the Copa Libertadores, but ended up losing against River Plate. With that in mind, let's see what both sides have to offer.

América

After a shaky start that included two losses, América was able to settle their feet on the ground with Ignacio Ambriz's leadership. Las Águilas have won their most recent seven games in all competitions, and regarding the Mexican top flight, Ambriz's men have won five consecutive games, while conceding only one goal during that run. Darío Benedetto and Oribe Peralta have been key to the team's form, scoring crucial goals for the yellow team against top opponents such as Cruz Azul. Right back Paul Aguilar may miss this game due to an injury he picked up during the international break with Mexico.

Tigres

The team from the north made quite an investment for the current season, with their hopes set on winning the Copa Libertadores and the ongoing Mexican tournament. Led by Andre-Pierre Gignac, the Copa Libertadores runners-up accumulate three straight wins, including goal scoring fiestas against Chiapas (4-1) and Querétaro (5-1). While playing away games this season, Tigres has lost two of their three previous games, but their form has improved since their last defeat against León. It is yet to be determined if the team will take the toll of not having coach Ricardo Ferretti with them during the recently concluded International Break, considering his duties as El Tri's interim coach.

Head to head

América has won three games out of the last four against Tigres while playing at Estadio Azteca. In fact, the team from the north has not been able to score a single goal against América in a regular season game since May of 2013, when Los Felinos defeated their hosts 2-0.
