Sources indicate that Wayne Rooney and Michael Carrick complained about issues concerning the team's training sessions and tactical meetings, among other things.

Ahead of one of the biggest games of the season, Manchester United's boss Louis Van Gaal may be having a falling out with some members of his team. Sources indicate that a number of players have grown tired of LVG's rough training methods, while long tactical meetings and video sessions might not strike their fancy that much.

Sources inside the team revealed that captains Wayne Rooney and Michael Carrick, using their special privileges, have entered negotiation with the rigid Dutch coach in order to facilitate his work with the rest of the squad. It's the player's belief that some of their injuries, such as the ones Rooney came down with last year, could have been prevented without such harsh training sessions.

Rooney's performance with the club hasn't been as impressive so far, not being able to score a single goal in the Premier League.

Furthermore, United's entire squad wasn't happy with the way Van Gaal treated former right back Rafael, which he continually overlooked and ended up selling to Olympique Lyonnais. The team felt Van Gaal disrespected the Brazilian for no reason, even after a long-time serving the Red Devils.

Finally, Van Gaal's attitude towards David De Gea hasn't helped the manager's relationship with the team leaders. Reports suggest that, even if the player wished to leave this summer, the Dutch boss could have handled the situation better to avoid any friction between the player and the team's management, something that ended up happening after the Spaniard's transfer fell through.
