"I can't imagine Real Madrid without Cristiano Ronaldo". That was Florentino Perez's opening statement during an interview with a Spanish radio show. Real Madrid's president spoke after a number of sources indicated the Portuguese ace could be leaving Los Blancos to join Paris Saint Germain, something that Los Blancos' boss denied.
Perez praised the player, who is expected to become the team's all-time top scorer this season, while also revealing that any team that wants to lure him away from the Spanish capital will have to pay a staggering amount for his services.
"If PSG want Cristiano Ronaldo it's simple: They have to pay the €1 billion release clause. No one is a prophet in football, but we don't want to sell him in 2016. He still has three years left on his contract,"Perez stated.
The team's president also revealed that he can predict CR7 will be competing one more time to win the Ballon D'Or, and he would love to have Gareth Bale, Karim Benzema and James Rodriguez nominated to win the award. "I love them all," the boss added.
