A brace from the PSG midfielder saw France grab a 2-1 win, as they march on in their preparations for Euro 2016.

With France guaranteed a spot in the Euro 2016 as the host nation, the European giants continued their preparation for next year’s tournament with a friendly.

On Monday, Didier Deschamps’ crew welcomed Serbia to Bordeaux, and needed only 9 minutes to find the back of the net thanks to a Blaise Matuidi header.

The PSG midfielder, however, saved the best goal for last. Sixteen minutes after the opening goal, Matuidi scored a screamer to give his nation a comfortable 2-0 lead.

Latching onto a clearance from a corner kick, the French midfielder sent a thunder volley rocketing into the top left corner of the goal past helpless Serbian custodian Predrag Rajkovic.

Serbia were able to pull one back thanks to a goal from Newcastle striker Aleksandar Mitrovic, as the game went on to finish 2-1 in Les Blues’ favor.
