La Albiceleste has two friendly games this month against Bolivia and Mexico. England dropped from eighth to tenth and Chile took their spot.

 

Argentina continues to lead the FIFA Rankings after a very quiet month of August. Belgium, despite not winning anything continues to be considered the best team in Europe and Copa America champions Chile is now eighth, taking England's spot in the top 10. 

UEFA Rankings

After Belgium surprised plenty of football fans last month, they have been very quiet and so have the best five teams in Europe. Germany, who dropped to third place one month before being able to stay on top for a full year, is still where they left off last month. Portugal, Romania and Gareth Bale's Wales did not move either. England dropped two spots to tenth place after Chile move up. Spain is still out of the top ten. Belgium leads the UEFA Rankings

CONCACAF Ranking

After a busy July for Concacaf teams with the Gold Cup, there were not many games played in this region last month. Mexico is about to start a busy end of the year with two friendlies this month against Trinidad and Tobago to cap it off against Argentina. The United States without even playing, moved up one spot and Costa Rica continues to fall to 39th place. Out of the best ten teams, Canada is the only one outside the top 100.Mexico is the king of CONCACAF

CONMEBOL Rankings

La Albiceleste did not have to worry this past month about losing their top spot which they claimed after losing the Copa America final. Messi did not quit to the national team so he will continue playing for Argentina in the friendly games they have coming up. Chile reached its best ever ranking landing in eighth place. Paraguay made the biggest jump by moving three spots up and Venezuela was the only team to move down. Argentina is at the top of the world and at the top of CONMEBOL

CAF Rankings

Algeria is once again the best team in Africa according to FIFA. Ivory Coast and Ghana did not even move this past month so Algeria was safe on top. Tunisia, Senegal and Congo all moved up one spot from where they were at the beginning of August. Now the best six teams in Africa are among the best 42 in the world. Out of their top ten, Cape Verde was the only team to drop down six places, and now they are in 56th.The competition in the AFCON region looks like this

AFC Rankings

Iran is now among the top 40 in the world. Not many nations in the AFC can brag about something like this. Currently, they are the best team in the region but AFC teams have historically been inside the top 20, like Australia not that long ago. Korea and Japan fell three and two spots respectively to 57th and 58th place. The Aussies are out of the top 60 now and China fell off to 84th place, losing five spots from where they were.Iran enters the top 40 in the world as the leader of the AFC

OFC Rankings

Out of the best ten teams in this region, seven moved up and only three went down. New Zealand was one of the three that did not appear to be improving, but they are still on top in the chart of this region. Fiji was not only the best mover out of the OFC, but out of the whole ranking system, climbing 17 spots up to 181st.
