La Vinotinto hosts Honduras as they did back in January, while Los Canaleros try to build on what the Gold Cup left for them while hosting Uruguay.

CONCACAF and CONMEBOL teams are getting ready for the start of the 2018 World Cup Qualifiers this Novermber, and so, their teams are playing a host of friendly games between them to see what adjustments each side needs to make it to the global competition.

Among those games, we will have Venezuela hosting Honduras, while Panama shows off their Bronze medals from the 2015 Gold Cup against Uruguay, a team that still won't have Luis Suarez available, since his World Cup ban has not ended.

Venezuela vs Honduras

After failing to qualify for the Copa América's knockout stage, La vinotinto will start training for the grueling CONMEBOL Qualifiers, and they will try to do so by defeating Honduras. Los Catrachos couldn't perform correctly under coach Jorge Luis Pinto during the 2015 Gold Cup, where they were deemed as one of the favorite teams. Nevertheless, a number of disciplinary problems and disappointing performances on the pitch forced Los Hondureños out of the competition in the Group stage.

For this game, Venezuela's coach Noel Sanvicente decided to call up most of the players that performed in Chile, including West Brom's Salomon Rondón, who is expected to lead La Vinotinto to its first-ever World Cup. On the other hand, Jorge Luis Pinto will not have Noel Valladares and Andy Najar available, since the goalkeeper is getting a work permit to play in Canada, while Najar was not allowed to play for his National team after AEK Athens refused to let the player go.

Panama vs Uruguay

After a controversial third-place finish in the Gold Cup, Panama wants to show the world they can perform in the World Cup for the first time. To do so, coach Hernán Darío Gómez wants his team to play against the best, and the match against Uruguay will come in handy.

Panama's hopes of making a great run during CONCACAF's Qualifiers will depend on what newcomer Roberto Nurse and Anibal Godoy can do to help them. Godoy, currently playing for MLS' San Jose Earthquakes, has shown his skills during his short term as a National Team performer. On the other hand, this game will give Uruguay's coach Oscar Tabarez a good idea of who could make the team for their upcoming matches, since Los Charrúas have struggled to score goals without Suárez.

This will be the second game ever between these two teams. The only match Los Charrúas and Los Canaleros have played before ended up with a 6-1 blowout in favour of Uruguay.
