The Reds have started the season brightly and are currently unbeaten having impressed in their last fixture against Arsenal. Liverpool were the better team for the majority of the match and were denied magnificently by Petr Cech on a few occasions as the match finished 0-0.

Liverpool fans will however be delighted with the start their team has made. The performance of a few players especially James Milner and Benteke will also be pleasing with the duo having seamlessly adjusted in the side.

James Milner has expressed his delight having made the switch from Man City in the summer and is optimistic that the Reds can challenge for the title.

"We will see at the end of the season, won't we?" Milner said when asked about Liverpool's title chances this season.

"It is an exciting time to be at the club. There have obviously been a lot of changes on and off the field in the summer and it will take time to get to our best but to start the season like we have is pleasing.

"We don't want to put any targets on it but, the longer we get into this season and the more we play together, you will see us improve more and more."

The Englishman who has the won the league twice with Man City has no regrets after leaving the club in the summer and is confident he can achieve success with Liverpool.

"I have watched them on the TV but I might have been watching them sitting on the bench if I had stayed at the club," he said speaking of his former club.

"That is the decision I have made. I am delighted to have joined Liverpool and am enjoying every minute. Liverpool is the club that is used to winning and every time they step onto the field they expect to win - that is a nice pressure to have."

West Ham started the season in impeccable fashion defeating Arsenal at the Emirates, but have since then suffered consecutive defeats at the hands of Leicester and Bournemouth.

Kevin Nolan left the club by mutual consent after a surprising turn of events but Diafra Sakho is likely to return to the side, Enner Valencia (knee) however will remain on the sidelines. The match will come too soon for former Liverpool star  Andy Carroll who is expected to return after the international break.

Liverpool on the other hand have no fresh injury concerns but will continue to be without the likes of Jordan Henderson (foot) and Adam Lallana (knock). In positive news for the club striker Sturridge has returned to training but is unlikely to be risked this soon.
