The team's former manager Jurgen Klopp resigned at the end of last season. Marco Reus' future is still not certain.

Any team knows that it doesn't matter who you play against, you play to win and that was exactly what Borussia Dortmund did this Sunday against Ingolstadt in their second game of the season. A perfect record so far and two clean sheets after the 4-0 win of Sunday's game may pave a path for Dortmund to continue succeeding.

While for many seasons, Jurgen Klopp stole the hearts of Dortmund's fans, today the man in charge is Thomas Tuchel and he has the team leading the Bundesliga along with giants Bayern Munich and Bayern Leverkusen. Their eight goals so far without receiving a single one, have Dortmund in first place with six points.

The scoreline of today's game was completely different in the first 45 minutes. Dortmund dominated but wasn't able to finish off their plays and the recently promoted Inglostadt kept their cool with a scoreless first half. That was the best the home team could do as Dortmund picked it up a knotch in the second half.

The goals of Dortmund came thanks to Matthias Ginter, Marco Reus, Shinji Kagawa and Pierre-Emerick with six minutes to go in the game. The visiting side was finally able to crack open a very closed defensive unit. The team of Tuchel is off to one of the best starts in Dortmund's history.

Dortmund's players are celebrating a successful start

A look at BVB's key players and team records

Six different players have scored for Dortmund after only two games. Henrikh Mkhitaryan is the leading scorer with two so far and the team. Reus was the star last season and his name is continually linked with teams like Real Madrid and even sometimes Manchester United or another Premier League side. The fact that Reus scored in this past game could either hype up those rumours or make his team want to respect his current contract.

Pierre-Emerick is the player with the most accurate shots so far this season. 60% of the shots he fires go to where the net is, but only has one gone in. The 26-year old player is another serious threat for a leading scorer within the team.

Sokratis has only played in one game this season. He is currently the best passer in the team. 92 of his passes have been accurate this season, and that has him ranked on the top of Dortmund's charts and among the best in the Bundesliga. If you translate that into percentages, 80% of his passes have been accurate up until now.

Roman Burki, the goalkeeper is destined to play a big role this season. After two games, the Swiss goalkeeper has been Dortmund's goalkeeper on both games and kept a clean sheet on both. He has not been testes so much and just averages 1.50 saves per game. Punching the ball away from danger is his best stat at the moment as he has been successful at that 100% of the times he needs to do so.
