The Old Lady secured the signing of left back Alex Sandro and seem to have developed a strong side with Paul Pogba also likely to stay in Turin.

Juventus' transfer activity

The Old Lady have lost an important team member in the form of midfield maestro Andrea Pirlo whereas Chilean international Arturo Vidal has also completed a move to Bayern Munich. Nonetheless the defending Italian champions have made a number of signings which will definitely improve them in the coming season.

Among the arrivals are highly rated forward Paulo Dybala who was signed from Palermo, Mario Mandzukic who completed a move from Spanish side Atletico Madrid as well as Sami Khedira and Neto who were signed for free from Real Madrid and Fiorentina respectively.

Have Junvetus improved for the good?

It cannot be stressed enough what Juventus have lost with the departure of Andrea Pirlo and Arturo Vidal. Despite hid growing age, Pirlo had the influence on the game like no one else and his presence will be missed. Vidal's tenacity is something Juventus will find difficult to replace as well.

However despite their departures, Juvetnus are lucky to still have Paul Pogba in their ranks. The Frenchman is one the world's rising stars and is being chased by a number of top clubs. Juventus have reportedly turned down a big money offer from Chelsea for the Frenchman's services. His presence at the club coupled with the new arrivals will definitely make Juventus a force to be reckoned, this might all back fire if Pogba has his head elsewhere and is not motivated to play for the Champions League finalists.

The Turin based club will also be without last season's top scorer Carlos Tevez but have found an able replacement in the form of Paulo Dybala who enjoyed  a stellar season last time out which saw him scoring 13 goals for Palermo. The 21 is year old has been likened to compatriot Sergio Aguero and can prove to be a magnificent capture for the club. He will be joined in attack by the experienced Mario Mandzukic who has played at the top level for some of the biggest clubs and will strengthen Juventus' attacking force which also includes last season's break through star Alvaro Morata.

Defensively Juventus were rock solid last season and gave the oppositions a torrid time. They have added to their ranks Brazilian left back Alex Sandro who successfully attempted the fifth highest tackles in Champions League last season and will definitely make Juventus more resilient defensively.

Whereas the ever reliable Gigi Buffon will maintain his place between the posts, he will have an able replacement in the form of Neto who after a slow start to his career established himself as one of the best keepers in Serie A.

Team news

Juventus have a few injury concerns ahead of the match with all of Morata, Khedira and Marchisio doubtful for their season opener against Udinese.

Alex Sandro on the other hand is fit and poised to start for his new side. Juventus had a remarkable season last time around and will be hoping to build upon it. They have lost important first team members but have also brought in some world class talents and it will be exciting to see if their new stars can take the team to new heights.
