Plus, ABC claim Los Blancos have tabled a take-it-or-leave-it offer for the 24-yer-old Spanish goalkeeper.

Real Madrid’s interest in Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea is no secret.

Having seen the departure of iconic captain Iker Casillas to Porto, and the former Atletico Madrid shot-stopper rise to one of the world’s finest keepers, there is little surprise as to why Los Blancos is after the 24-year-old.

Rumors linking him with an Old Trafford exit hit a high point when the Spaniard was left out of Man United’s squad for their 2015-16 English Premier League opening game against Tottenham.

Now, a report by El Confidencial (per 101 Great Goals) claims that the Red Devils have told the Liga BBVA giants to either pay up £28m or forget about signing De Gea.

The goalkeeper has only one year left on his contract, meaning come next summer, he can walk out of the Theatre of Dreams for free. Despite this, Van Gaal’s side will not accept any offer less than their current asking price.

Furthermore, the report claims that the custodian is patiently waiting for Real Madrid president Florentino Perez to pay the demanded fee, which would all but guarantee a move to Santiago Bernabeu.

In another report, however, by ABC (per Bleacher Report), the 10-time Champions League side have allegedly have tabled a take-it-or-leave-it bid for De Gea worth £21.2, with the American news network claiming that Unite are holding out for £25m, £3m less than the price stated by El Confidencial.
